Our farm is located conveniently in Hamilton, Virginia on over 12 acres. It is home to 2 horses, 2 Alpine goats, 3 dogs, free-range chickens, a peacock, several bee hives and a small flock of Merino Sheep.
From our sheep we sell meat, market or project lambs, and breeding stock. Our wool products include fleeces for spinning or fiber-arts, yarn, tanned and washable sheepskin pelts, and natural colored fleeces, roving, and combed top.
South Fork Farm bought its first Merino Sheep from Black Sheep Farm in 2004. Our original stock was natural colored Merinos with mixes of soft and dark silvers, mocha browns and one white ewe.
As of 2013, our flock is predominately white but with both our rams and ewes having “color” in their genes we get a mix of colored and white lambs.
We sell free-range chicken eggs, raw honey, wool products and custom ordered market-lamb. Click on our products pages for more information and go to our online store when you are ready to make a purchase.
Our farm also has a small historical Cival-War era cemetary (Catoctin Free Cemetary) located on premises.
